Olha Lui is a collector of authentic Ukrainian regional dress and an independent cultural educator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her private collection spans five ethnographic regions of Ukraine and includes complete women’s outfits dating from the late 1800s to the mid-1900s, featuring hand-embroidered shirts, skirts, aprons, vests, headwear, and jewelry. She has presented her collection at public cultural events including NewWest Fest and to Victoria’s Motanka Voice Choir, and pursues opportunities to share Ukrainian material heritage, craft traditions, and the immigrant experience with broader audiences through exhibits, demonstrations, and community partnerships.
